1. What we collect

Account details (username, email, hashed password), the documents you upload, derived OCR output, and usage data (pages processed, credits) needed to run the service and enforce quotas.

2. How we use it

We process your documents solely to deliver OCR results to you, maintain your history, and operate billing. We do not sell your data.

3. Third parties

To run OCR we send document content to our OCR processing provider. Uploaded files are stored in our own object storage (S3-compatible). Payments are handled by our merchant-of-record payment provider. These processors act on our behalf under contract.

4. Retention and deletion

Your documents and results are kept until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any document from the app at any time.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions use signed tokens, and transport is encrypted in production. Access to your documents is restricted to your account.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Where applicable (e.g. GDPR) you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
